Author Biography

Marianna Anastasiou

Marianna Anastasiou studied piano and music composition at the National Conservatory of Athens and Musicology at the National & Kapodistrian University of Athens. She has also attended seminars on arts management and Web design organised by the Hellenic-American Union in association with Carnegie Mellon University, Pittsburgh USA.
She has participated in several European educational programmes and is a member of Europeana CCPA and the legal working group in particular.  As a musicologist she has collaborated with the Athens Concert Hall Publications Department and has made announcements in the British Forum for Ethnomusicology Conference in Oxford University. She has taught music history and analysis to college level music technology and sound engineering students.  As a reference librarian she has lectured on electronic services and music collections at the Tirana National Library Educational Center and in the context of the European educational programme Pulman Xt in Veroia.  Apart from being a reference librarian, she is the Web administrator in the Lilian Voudouri Music Library of Greece, located in the new wing of Megaron, the Athens Concert Hall.
