Matteo Fochessati

Matteo Fochessati is Curator of the Wolfsoniana-Fondazione regionale per la cultura e lo Spettacolo di Genova. Since 2004, he has taught theory and history of design at the Faculty of Letters of the University of Genoa. Since 1997 he has been a correspondent of "Il Giornale dell'Arte". Author of the book La voce del mondo. L'immagine della radio in Italia tra le due guerre (1992), as a critic and art historian he has published numerous research papers on contemporary figurative and artistic phenomena of the twentieth century, in particular on the history of the Futurist movement. He was curator of exhibitions in Italy and abroad, including recently the exhibition at the Estorick Collection in London, “In astratto. Abstraction in Italy 1930-1980â€. In the field of the decorative and applied arts of the twentieth century he has recently published the book “L'art nouveau tra modernismo e nazionalismo romanticoâ€(24ore cultura, 2012).
