Miroslav Gašparović

Miroslav GaÅ¡parović is Director of the Museum of Arts and Crafts, Zagreb, Art historian, art critic, and curator of the painting collection of the Museum of Arts and Crafts. He is the author of numerous exhibitions of Croatian and international artists and articles on the various topics from old masters, specifically Venetian and Dutch painting of 16th and 17th century up to contemporary artistic practice. He led, or was one of the major contributors to, several major exhibition projects, such as “Art Nouveau in Croatiaâ€, “Belle Epoque Imperialeâ€, “Hidden treasures of Museum of Arts and Crafts - 125th Anniversaryâ€, “Art Deco and Croatian art between two wars,†among others. He was the first president of the Museum directors association of Croatia, and is a member of ICOM, AICA, and various national and international boards.
