Author Biographies

Olga Kissel

Olga Kissel graduated from the Mathematical Faculty of the St. Petersburg State University with a Ph.D. in Pedagogics and a Master in Philosophy. She was Head of Multimedia Department in State Russian Museum for 20 years, and developed multimedia museum programmes for museum exhibitions and museum education. She has been a project manager of many joint international museum projects. Among these are the Center of Museum Multimedia (together with Apple Computers); “Russian museum: virtual branchesâ€; “Digital Russian Museum in the Western Pavilion of Kordegardia of Michailovsky Castle†(with the financial support of the World Bank of the Economic development); “Museum Internet Center†(sponsored by Sun Systems). She was also the Head of the project “Internet festival of museum multimedia “Museum Geekâ€. For the last two years, she has been head of the department of computer technologies in the Museum of Religious History in St. Petersburg.

Natali Potapenko

Natali Potapenko is a Senior Researcher in the Department of Innovative Technologies of the State Museum of the History of Religion (St. Petersburg). She is the coordinator of the Internet Festival multimedia museum "Museum Geek". From 2005 to 2013 she was a Senior Researcher in the State Russian Museum. From 1997 to 2005 she fulfilled that role in the Surgut Fine Arts Museum. She obtained a Master of Arts in Cultural Management from the University of Manchester.
