Abstract

This presentation will review the methods established for sharing reported cases of disease across an international boundary. Will review the cases identified and describe follow up actions by public health.

Author Biography

Orion McCotter, Office of Border Health, Arizona Department of Health Services, Tucson, AZ, United States.

Mr. McCotter has been the epidemiology team lead for the Arizona Border Infectious Disease Surveillance (BIDS) program since 2007. He earned a MPH in epidemiology and public health policy from the University of Arizona. He serves as Governing Councilor for the American Public Health Association epidemiology section, co lead for the International Health Special Interest Group. He is an active member of the CSTE International and border health Subcommittee, and active member of ISDS.
