Abstract

The purpose of this presentation is to communicate best practices NH realized in the development of an excessive heat surveillance response partnership for action through planning activities, partnership building, and the use of automated technology, with a focus on the use of surveillance data for actionable results.

David J. Swenson, DHHS, Concord, NH, United States

David Swenson has managed the New Hampshire (NH) state-wide syndromic surveillance system since late 2005. With an IT background and data analysis expertise, he has been supporting the NH Division of Public Health Services, in the Infectious Disease Surveillance Section, for nine years and is currently enrolled in the UIC PH Informatics Certification program, sponsored by CSTE.
